BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- Birmingham police have arrested a suspect in fatal shooting at CC Nightclub Sunday morning.
According to police, officers responded to a report of a person shot just after 9 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived they found 25-year-old Jose Flores lying on the floor inside the Bessemer Road club with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Paramedics responded and transported Flores to Princeton hospital where he did in the emergency room shortly after arriving.
Police have charged 26-year-old Walter Martinez with Flores' murder and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect approached the victim while in the club and shot Flores multiple times. The suspect then fled with his girlfriend.
