BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- A teenager is suffering from a gunshot wound to the head after a shooting incident in the Gate City area.
According to Lt. Edwards of Birmingham PD, a suspect shot into an occupied vehicle when an 18-year-old female was struck. The shooting happened on Joppa Avenue.
The victim was transported to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police are still searching for a suspect.
