When most women think of indulging themselves, it usually consists of chocolates or even a splurge like a day at the spa, but what about a photography session?  Where not talking just any type of photography though, how about pin-up photography?  It’s something you can actually get done in Birmingham.

Photographer Angela Karen said, "Some women work all day and they just kind of have to come out of their shell and play."

And play they can at the studios of Angela Karen, a photographer who specializes in making everyday women look like a glamorous 40's era model.

"Its all about the lips and the liner and the eyelashes," said Karen.

Karen says her start in photography wasn't with pin up work, but it evolved towards it as the style became more main stream again.

"History always repeats itself so I think that contributed to the whole fad right now," said Karen.

Birmingham businesswoman Angela Turner had the trendy photos taken of herself last week and says she'd do it again.

"I thought how great would that be when I'm 80 years old to have something like that.  I thought it'd be a lot of fun so that's why I did it," said Turner.

Karen hopes by giving women a chance to get all dolled up and have their picture taken, they will realize how beautiful they really are.

"I've always wanted to make women feel beautiful.  As long as I do that I know my job is done," said Karen.

Turner says that job is done so well she encourages all women to indulge.

"I think every woman should do it cause I think it's a unique experience for you to look at yourself in a different way and see different parts of your personality and how incredible each woman is and we just don't think about it everyday," said Turner.

The photography session does come at a cost.  It starts at around $500 a day.
