BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) - Birmingham Police are investigating the shooting death of a teen couple Monday night.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of 12th Avenue North around 9 p.m. When they arrived, they found 19-year-old Ty Pepper and 18-year-old Elizabeth Price lying on the curb suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced both victims dead at the scene.
Investigators learned that Pepper met Price on the corner after returning home from work. Shortly after, multiple gunshots rang out, striking and killing both victims.
Police do not believe the killings were random.
