Central Alabama Forecast - More snow ahead

Light snow and sleet around the state is wrapping up tonight and now the bitter cold air settles into the state tonight.

Expect some clearing into the early morning but lows will be getting down into the upper teens and lower 20s across the viewing area overnight. Not much warm up for our Saturday with highs only into the middle and upper 30s. Cold air settles in for Saturday night into early on Sunday with lows down into the middle and upper teens to start Sunday off.

A bit of a warm up on Monday, but now forecast models are offering a little bit of moisture to move in on Tuesday while the next blast of arctic air settles in. This means there will be a shot at more snow showers for our viewing area during the day on Tuesday into Tuesday night before the bitter cold settles in.

Highs in the middle of next week will likely not even get above freezing for a day or two and wth lows down into the lower teens and upper single digits, wind chill values will easily get below zero in some spots early on Wednesday morning.
